Staghorn Coral
Staghorn Coral is a very interesting coral with a even more interesting skeleton system. The outside appearance of this type of coral looks somewhat like deer antlers. It is brown and yellow and is white on the tips of the coral. it is a very delicate coral and brakes very easily. The size of each coral can grow anywhere from 10 to 160 feet. It grows in clear water in the ocean and it only grows in big protected colonies. it is also now on the Endangered Species list after a giant decrease in its population. the are also one of the fastest growing corals that exist. One thing that is very extraordinary is that when tiny Cnidaria called polyps all join together, their joined exoskeletons creates the corals exoskeleton. That is why the coral breaks very easily and is not really built that well.
