Mollusca
The phylum Mollusca is a large phylum that consists of invertebrate animals. There are around 110,000 species of molluscs. Molluscs live in almost every environment with the majority of molluscs living in marine environments. Molluscs make up about 25% of all marine animals. There is a large range of size in the mollusca phylum with some species being microscopic and others being enormous such as the Colossal Squid which can grow up to 45 feet. Molluscs usually have soft unsegmented bodies, a mantle and a hard shell. Not all Molluscs consist of all of those things. There are 10 classes of molluscs. A few of these classes include cephalopods (squid, octopus), gastropods (snails, slugs) and bivalves (clams, oysters).
