The jaguar has an endoskeleton. The Jaguars bone structure consists of strong bones and is held together by ligaments. Often confused with the leopard, the skeletal system of the jaguar is shorter, stockier and more compact. The short and stocky structure of the jaguar makes the jaguar more adept to climbing, crawling and swimming. The legs of a jaguar are very thick and powerful. Jaguars have robust skulls and extremely strong jaws. The jaguar's bite is twice as strong as a lion's! The short, sturdy physique and extremely powerful jaw help the jaguar to attack its prey.
